“Truth” -as told by his eyes

I looked at him,

All smiles;

Flaunting his joie de vivere.

Radiant and luminous.

But those eyes!

They fail to agree,

To the fables of the lips!

Privy to the intriguing truth;

Cavernous! the eyes behold,

THE TRUTH!

Hiding somewhere,

Deep, Dark and Distant!

Unacknowledged, Unaware and Unable

To Break out!

I have always been fascinated by the beauty that every person’s eyes behold. But underneath all that beauty lies the hidden world of pain. The hidden truth. But sometimes the eyes, they bewray the truth.

This is one of the first pictures I clicked using a proper DSLR  camera. The camera used was a Canon 1200D. People always ask me to click their pictures. So they either smile at the camera or give highly creative candid poses. But very rarely does a photographer come across a true candid. And these ‘candids’ usually have a lot of truth in them. This is one such true candid and I will always be grateful to the beholder of those eyes; not just for this picture but also for the meaning he has brought to my life.

FIRE

“You say there is fire,

Deep within me.

Consuming;

All and ones,

Steep and  deep.

But do take a closer look, Oh Sire,

And shall you discover.

The warmth that you yearn,

The light you seek,

Is the fire within me. “

So this picture was taken long back using a Micromax Canvas phone and edited using lightroom.

“No matter how many times life tries to pull me down.
No matter how many waves
Try to drown me.
I will always have my sister to hold on.”

                                                                                                                                    -DUNDAPPAN

There is something about this picture that makes me want to cry.

But I wont.

Because, boys don’t cry.  Duh!  Obviously  #Stereotyped

But! To be honest;

My mom and her sister, together, enjoying the sea, relaxed,untroubled by their tensions and responsibilities, recreating those golden days of zappy sisterhood is the best picture I have clicked in a long time.

They are unfazed by what the world thinks of their passing nonchalance to their day-to-day chores. It does not disturb them that there are people staring at their buoyant excitement. They are least bothered by the amount of sand their ‘churidhars’ are collecting.

In that moment the only thought that they are concerned about is to not to let go! Not to let go of your sister’s hand, for that is what is keeping them from drowning in this chaotic sea of life. Their love for each other.  #SisterLove
